The Galilee- the homeland of Arabic coffee

The Galilee region, the northern region of the country, which stretches from the Mediterranean to the Jordan Valley, is bordered by Tiberias in the East, and is considered the homeland of Jesus, became known for its coffee.

Galilean coffee is admired for its rich, thick consistency, its potency, and its sharp flavor. The people of the Galilee are known to decline sweetened coffee in favor of a cup of coffee with very little sugar, in which the flavor and aroma of the coffee are still dominant. Households in the Galilee are known to always have a thermos of fresh hot coffee available, day and night, as a sign of their hospitality and honor.
